Vicky qualified as a veterinary surgeon in South Africa in 1978. She spent most of the first 20 years of her professional life living and working in Zimbabwe and built up a very busy small animal practice in Harare. The worsening political and economic situation in Zimbabwe precipitated a move to the UK in 2000. Vicky enjoys all aspects of practice and being able to work as part of a very dedicated team.

He joined St Davids Referrals in 2017 full-time to take over the reins from Peter and carry on developing the busy referral service. Carmela qualified from the Royal Veterinary College, London, in 2010. She started her career in a farm and poultry practice in Devon, before moving to a mixed practice where she worked with farm animals and horses, as well as cats, dogs and small mammals. Here she developed her interest in small animal medicine, which led to the move to St Davids in September 2014. She splits her time between the Exeter and Exminster branches, and recently gained an Advanced Certificate in Small Animal Practice. She lives with her poultry-farmer husband, two crazy Lurchers and small flock of 'reject' hens, and in the spare time this leaves enjoys cycling, sailing and travelling.

Daniel Skeldon BA VetMB CertSAS MRCVS
Dan has worked at St Davids since 2007 and lives locally with his young family, scruffy but adored cat and rusty campervan. He supports Joe Fox with accepting external referrals on a Friday. Since qualifying from Cambridge University in 2002, Dan has found the challenge and satisfaction of surgery increasingly appealing. Dan passed the exams for the RCVS Certificate in Small Animal Surgery (CertSAS) in 2011, allowing him to register as an Advanced Practitioner in Small Animal Surgery. This recognises Dan's experience and skill in surgery, both orthopaedic and soft tissue; he can perform many types of operation that would otherwise need to be referred outside the practice. He has had several articles published in the Vet Times and the Vet Nurse Times. When not working Dan spends as much time in the great outdoors as he can, either on a bike, boat or some kind of surfboard.
